Bharti Airtel has made a multi year agreement with Nokia to improve network connectivity in India. The 4G network will be drastically improved shortly.

Airtel is planning to deploy Nokia’s Single Radio Access Network all over India. This will boost the network connectivity, and the users can enjoy super-fast data connectivity. The Access Network will deploy in nine circles across the country.

Advantages of Single Radio Access Network

The benefits of Nokia’s Single Access Radio Network is not just limited to boosting the network speed.

According to a report, this will act as a foundation for providing 5G connectivity in the future. Implementing the 5G network would take approximately 3,00,000 radio units deployed across a range of spectrum bands 900MHz to 2300MHz. This is expected to be used by 2022.

Nokia would provide the best support to Bharti Airtel when the 5G technology rolls out in the future.

This is the reason Airtel was willing to sign a $1 million deal with Nokia.

Rajeev Suri, the Chief executive officer of Nokia, mentioned that this deal is essential to the telecom industry as it might create a revolution. The agreement also solidified the position of Nokia in India.

The Airtel users can enjoy ultra-fast and zero disruption 4G network very soon.

According to Gopal Vittal, a top official of Airtel, using Nokia’s Single Radio Access Network will improve the capacity and coverage of Airtel’s network drastically. The user can avail of the 4G network from any corner of India.

He also mentioned that Airtel and Nokia were partners for around ten years, and this deal has solidified their relationship.

India is the second-largest telecom market in the world and expected to reach 920 million customers by 2025. This will also include around 88 million 5G users.
