Early release of the Facebook Gaming App

The Facebook set to release its Live Gaming app in June 2020, but it came to Google Play Store on 15th April 2020. Facebook officially announced the release of its gaming platform with #PlayApartTogether on Tweeter. This app is a gaming only platform that focuses on giving you the one-of-a-kind experience. Here users could watch the live streams of their favorite players, play various instant games, participating in different gaming groups. And yes, as a cherry on the top, users get it all in the Facebook Gaming in a single app.

The native gaming page of the platform has more than 700 million active users. And according to the StreamElements, who are streaming analytics providers, gaming on Facebook has seen an enormous growth of 210%. As millions of population world-wider are under lockdown, we all can expect another similar spike. According to Facebook, the app is currently for Android users only, but the iOS version of the gaming platform is also under development.

Cloud Gaming is the latest trend

With the launch of the Facebook Gaming App, other giants of Silicon Valley, including Apple and Google, have also made investments in their cloud gaming services, Arcade and Stadia, respectively. They aim to cash in as the Millenials are taking a massive interest in live multiplayer gaming.

Such live games give enthusiastic gamers a lot, including various choices of titles and keep them interested in multiple arts, graphics, motions, along with live interactions with the community. These games are concocted on the cloud and have little to no lagging during its live streaming.

According to the Fidji Simo, who is the Head of Facebook Gaming, they invest primarily in gaming and is on their top priority. They see gaming as a type of entertainment that helps to connect people. They don’t consider gaming platforms only as a passive consumes. But on the contrary, they believe that it is a type of interactive entertainment that also brings individuals together.
