Introduction

Fatima Sana Shaikh was born on 11th January 1992 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. Currently, Fatima Sana Shaikh age is 28 years old and lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She is nicknamed Fatty by her family and friends. Since her childhood, she has wanted to be an actress and got her very first film at the age of 5 in 1997 called Chachi 420. She left her acting when she was still a child because she did not wish to miss her schooling and thus, prioritized education then.

Her father, Vipan Sharma belongs is Hindu and is from Jammu and mother, Raj Tabbasum is a Muslim from Srinagar. His father moved to Mumbai in the 1980s where he met Raj Tabassum and both got married.

Fatima did her schooling from St.Xavier High School, Mumbai and the graduation from Mithibai College, Mumbai. She always had a strong inclination towards acting and worked as a child artist in the movie Chachi 420 which was loved by many. She also did One 2 ka 4 in 2001 alongside Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan, which became the second film of her career. Later she played the character of Zoya in the film Tahaan in 2008. She made her TV debut in a ZEE TV daily soap Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo in 2009, wherein she played a negative character. Later the same year, she appeared in TV show Ladies Special.

She has also done films like Bittoo Boss, Table No. 21 and Akaash Vaani but these movies could not make a huge impact in the Indian Film Industry.

At the beginning of 2015 when she almost decided to quit her acting career, she started with Cinematographer. She again appeared in a Telugu film Nuvvu Nenu Okatavudaam! and a Tamil film O Kadhal Kanmani.

Later in 2015, she got selected to play the role of Geeta Phogat in the hit movie, Dangal which got released in 2016 alongside Aamir Khan. Immediately after this, she came into the limelight and received huge fame and a few awards for her spectacular performance.

She has always been a hard-working actress who bagged a lot of appreciation. In the year 2018, Fatima Sana Shaikh won the Best Action Actress Award for her 2016 movie, Dangal in China.
