Gobbly, a Gurugram-based contactless retail startup (1), came up as the world was looking for contactless retail shopping. The startup has its solutions to help the world in the coronavirus aftermath.

Ankur Agrawal and Amit Ahuja started Gobbly barely a year ago. It offers mobile operated fridge that offers contactless retail shopping. The refrigerator is stocked with fresh groceries that users can buy via the Gobbly app via the QR code scanner. The amount will be automatically deducted from the users’ wallets. It claims that it QR code also includes payment methods to keep the consumers safe. It will act as a potential shield against all types of germs and viruses.

The startup added to its claim that their contactless mobile-enabled refrigerator is safe and hygienic. It offers zero contact service, with 24/7 availability in society.

Gobbly Made Contactless an Integral Part of Retail Business

Gobbly is an ambitious startup that wants to make its product a massive success at a bulk scale. In December 2019, it secured 500K USD from Sauce.vc in its seed funding round.

The firm will use the fundraise to expand its contactless stores. It aims to install over 40 to 50 fridges across Delhi-NCR by 2020. The startup is progressing well to achieve its goal.

At present, Gobbly has installed its product in 17 locations. It includes seven colleges, eight corporate and two residentials. Their goal to increase their refrigerators in colleges and offices is not entirely functional, as they are closed due to lockdown.

The startup aims to launch in 13 societies for residentials in the next month, every month till December, as per the founders’ statement.

They added that contactless is the new part of the retailing business. People no longer take their time to take a stroll in stores and interact with products and other consumers. They are now looking for contactless options for their essentials and daily groceries.

There have been no comments from both founders of Gobbly regarding the upcoming fundraising. However, the startup is likely to make its unique offerings a pan India brand and keep raising funds.
