Google, the tech giant, has joined the race to launch the short video app Tangi, an app for 60 seconds DIY videos to inspire people to take upon activities.

The application is a product from Google’s in house incubator Area 120 and was in development for a year. The company initially launched Tangi on the web and ios that inspires share creative types of how-to videos.

Coco Mao, Team Lead at Tangi, said: “We only focus on DIY and Creativity content.” The platform will help people to learn Craft, cook, and create one-minute videos. The design of Tangi is made it easier for users to find How-to videos.

Users can share a recreation of things with a try-it feature, which helps build a community between the creators and the fans. Users can click the ‘heart’ icon under the video they like, which would then appear in the ‘Liked’ section of their profile.

Viewers can filter videos by the categories available (Art, DIY, Cooking, Beauty, and Lifestyle) or can scroll down a continuous homepage until something catches your interest. Tangi is Free and ad-free for now and is currently not monetized in other ways

The app is launched initially for a short video content platform. It is only available on ios and web worldwide except the European Union. As of now, the release date has not been specified for the android users by the company.

Google also shared,

“We have been working on with the creators who already make these kinds of videos so that tangi becomes a place where they have a voice to inspire other makers.”
