1. An Introduction to the Job Card

While creating a job card, the user needs to plan and schedule information that can be used by Work Order Tracking and Task Cards applications. The user can also specify the maintenance review board number, class, category, and capability for the job card. There are a few other optional details, including a work station, CMR, phase, operation number, and customer for the job card. Application for job cards is open throughout the year. The registration under this scheme is valid for five years and can be renewed when required. NREGA (National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) job card is issued to all the members who want employment under this scheme. It contains the following information:

  • Information on all the adults who are willing to work.
  • A number of days for which the worker has received employment for.
  • Job cards are ID proofs for NREGA workers.

2. Operations on the Job Card

c) Materials needed to complete the work has several parts from the Inventory application and consumable parts from the Equipment application.

d) Access items that open and close to provide access under the Models Application.

e) The tools needed to complete the work under the Tools Application.

f) The information which points out to the aircraft zone, available under the Zones Application.

3. Operators Maintenance Program Details

This action enables the users to view information regarding OMPs and master task cards, which are associated with the Job Card. Duplicate job cards can be used as a template. This copy can also be used to create a revision of the Job Card.

Once the revision is created, old records are copied into the new card, and a revision number is allotted by 1. This new job card is set into the pending status.

4. How to apply for Job card under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA)

4.1: Registration under the NERGA Scheme:

  • The application for the registration can be created at Local Gram Panchayat.
  • The user can register via three modes: the prescribed registration form, orally, or on paper.
  • Household is entitled to the registration under the scheme.
  • The forms are available at all the Gram Panchayats.

4.2. Verification of the application under NREGA:

Form verification is done at the Gram Panchayat on the following basis:

  • Local domicile
  • All the members applying for the job card should be adults.
  • Once the verification is complete, job cards are allocated.
  • Single women living alone are eligible to apply under this scheme.

4.3. Job Card under NREGA scheme:

After the verification is completed, the user is given the job card:

  • Job Card is allotted to every rural household. It contains names and photographs of all the household members.
  • This legal document allows the resident to exercise the ‘Right to Work’ under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.
  • The job card makes the users eligible to apply for work.
  • Job cards are used to prepare the labor budget.
  • A job card is issued within 15 days of the application.

4.4. How to apply for work under the NREGA scheme?:

After getting the job card, the user is eligible to apply for work:

  • After applying for the work, the user will receive the receipt.
  • Work is usually received by the user with 15 days of the application.
  • Application for work can be on both Individual and group basis.
  • The application can be made via the following modes: online portal, orally, or the written application.
  • Minimum days for employment are 14, as mentioned under the scheme.
  • Multiple or advanced applications can be submitted during different periods.

5. Provisions of work under NREGA

  • Unemployment allowances on a regular basis if the job is not provided within 15 days of application.
  • Only adult members are eligible for the job under the scheme.
  • Panchayats maintain a list of work offered to the workers.
  • Each project should have at least 1/3rd of female workers.
  • If the workplace is outside the 5 km radius, travel allowances are provided to the worker.
  • Women and older people are given preferences to work in their vicinity.

6 Facilities extended to the workers under NREGA

Several benefits to which the workers are entitled are as follows:

  • Basic facilities are provided to the workers, including the shelter, drinking water, food, medical facilities, and so on. Children of the workers under six years of age are also provided with the caretakers.
  • Muster rolls can be checked anytime from the official website of NREGA or MNREGA.
  • If wages are not paid within 15 days, then the user can demand wage delay compensation.

A job card is a solid initiative taken by the government under NREGA. People in rural areas should be educated more to apply for such purposes.
