ITC Hotels announced its partnership with the food delivery platform Zomato, on Monday. The partnership will help ITC offer unique dining experiences in the comfort of their homes. The hospitality chain announced its partnership with Swiggy earlier in May.
ITC Hotels’ partnership with Zomato (1) will enable it to strengthen its pan India distribution footprint for home delivery & takeaway of food, which would further help in expanding the outreach of the chain’s signature culinary offerings to its thousands of customers, at the comfort of their homes.
The online food delivery platform announced the rise in its recovery earlier since the lockdown measures have been relaxed.
The COVID times have forced us all to adopt social distancing measures to avoid the spread of coronavirus disease, which has taken the lives of over 23,727 people in India alone.
Restaurant industry worst hit in pandemic
With Zomato, ITC Hotels will be able to provide its customers with delicious cuisines served at their doorsteps via Zomato’s contactless deliveries on prepaid orders. It will also provide ITC the option of takeaway menus via the online food delivery platform.
Earlier in June, Zomato rebranded its Zomato Gold membership to Zomato Pro with a ‘money-back guarantee.’
Deepinder Goyal, Co-Founder & CEO at Zomato, tweeted that if one doesn’t save 2x the subscription fee of Zomato Pro within the subscription period, Zomato will auto-refund your subscription fee at the end of the year.
All the Zomato Gold members hailing from 10 countries around the globe will automatically get upgraded to Zomato Pro from 1st August this year. Talking about the food industry struggles due to the pandemic, Zomato Pro would help restaurants cover up the losses incurred in the last few months. The restaurant industry is amongst the worst it industries due to the COVID-19 crisis.
