What does MediaTek new Dimensity offers?
MediaTek’s Dimensity 800U supports sub-6Ghz SA and NSA networks, 5G+5G dual SIM dual standby (DSDS), dual Voice over New Radio (VR), and 5G two carrier aggregation in the 5G modem. Amidst MediaTek 5G UltraSave technology, the modem’s operating mode is controlled based on the network environment and data transmission quality, which will extend the battery life of mobile devices, claims the company.
The Dimensity 800U chipset has an octa-core CPU with a dual cluster. The CPU consists of two Arm Cortex-A76 processors with a clock speed of 2.4GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 processors. The processors of the Dimensity 800U chipset come with a clock speed of 2.0GHz. Dimensity 800U chipset also integrates an Arm Mali-G57 GPU, an independent AI processing unit (APU), and LPDDR4x RAM.
Moreover, for a quality visual and standards, the new Dimensity 800U chipset will support 120Hz FHD+ displays and the HDR10+. The chipset will also allow flexible camera placement with up to 64 MP cameras and quad camera capabilities. It also offers support for voice on wakeup (VoW) and dual-mic noise reduction technology. The feature would help to lower the standby power consumption of a voice assistant.
