Various things around us can be a remedy to cure any illness or wound, but very few people are aware of these plants or herbs or materials which have other benefits as well other than the regular uses. One such content that has several purposes is silk. We often know silk as the oldest fibers that are known to the man and has the history as the most luxurious fabric.

There are silk sarees that were made 100 years ago, and they are used for many generations, which highlights the excellent strength and quality of the material. The non-textile usage of silk began in the 19th century when it was used as a suture material instead of the traditional metal wires. India is the second-largest producer of silk in the world, where Karnataka alone produces 70% of the country’s total mulberry silk. One such explorer of silk is Vivek Mishra, who is working on the usage of silk in wound healing products with the help of his startup – Fibroheal Woundcare.
