AFK Gaming (1) has secured 200,000 USD from its pre-Series funding round. The funding round was led by IPV, Inflection Point Ventures. It is an early-stage investing company. The startup will use the latest infusions to expand its title coverages and hike its growing revenue. It will link its reach to revenue via direct and programmatic advertising. It will also ramp up its coverage scope with additional titles in Southeast Asia, as per the company’s statement.

As per the claims of AFK Gaming, the company has grown 4x times since January 2020. The firm has also signed service contracts with some of India’s largest tournament publishers, organizers, and brands.

Vinay Bansal, Founder, and CEO of IPV, while commenting on the latest funding, stated that we found many aspects to keep ourselves engaged during the ongoing pandemic. For many of us, the games and esports also emerged as a new activity. Companies like AFK Gaming have kept us informed about esports during the lockdown. He further added that the company had observed 4x users’ growth, making the impact very clear.

AFK Gaming to Expand Its Audience Globally

IPV believes that esports will receive a rapid acceptance in the Indian audience. Technology will be groundbreaking, similar to healthcare and education; it would disrupt high-tickets sports properties. The IPV team believes that AFK Gaming can take this excellent opportunity, Bansal added.

It is the 13th investment of IPV since March 2020. The angel startup was started in 2018. It has invested ver 100 crore INR in more than 35 startups.

Nishant Patel, Rakesh Ramachandran, and Siddharth Nayyar founded AFK Gaming. It is leaving 15 million impressions across video, web, and social media every month. Nishant Patel, Co-founder of the esports platform, stated that they have some of the best esports teams, players, and Asia tournaments. However, there is a lack when it comes to global audience coverage.

AFK Gaming aims to fill the gap by uniting their esports content understanding with IPV’s expertise to build a scalable and sustainable business.
