Hasura Secures 25 Million USD Fundings From Lightspeed

On Tuesday, the tech startup Hasura (1) announced it had raised 25 Million USD, or 184.3 Crore INR in its Series B funding round. It was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners (US) and others. The other participants included its exciting investors, such as Vertex Ventures US, Strive VC, Nexus Venture Partners, SAP.iO Fund. As per the company’s statement, it also gets funding from new angel investors, including John Thomson, Microsoft’s current chairman.

As per the statement, with the latest tranche, the company’s total fundraising has now reached 36.5 million USD. The firm will use the fundraise to accelerate its hiring process. It will also use the funds to invest in its open-source and commercial product development, support its users, added the statement.

Hasura Enables Easy Access to Data for App Developers

Gaurav Gupta, partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, and one of the board members of Hasura stated on the investment that the firm makes it quick to connect apps with existing databases. All the data are readily available, with no compromise on its security and performance. More on more enterprise developers and front-end developers are embracing the same approach.

Tanmai Gopal, Co-founder and CEO of Hasura stated that data is present in many spaces. It lives in many different databases. However, Hasura aims to enable its users to instantly access the data with its secure, scalable data access infrastructure.

He added that the startup’s built-in security and its governance and scalable features would get its applications to roll out quickly and safely.

Earlier in 2020, Hasura bagged 9.9 million USD in its Series A funding round. Vertex Ventures led it. In 2018., it secured 1.6 million USD in its seed funding round from Nexus Venture Partners.
