The contracts herald a new era in medical supply delivery, with Skye Air Mobility poised to deploy its advanced drone mobility solutions across several states including Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Odisha, Manipur, Bihar, Gujarat, and Rajasthan. The focus of these deployments will be on enhancing the delivery efficiency of essential medical supplies, which will be transported in temperature-controlled boxes to ensure their integrity upon arrival.

Among the institutions to benefit from Skye Air’s services are six branches of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and three regional leprosy centers, highlighting the startup’s commitment to supporting critical healthcare services through innovative technologies.

The startup’s collaboration with esteemed healthcare institutions and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare underscores its alignment with national healthcare objectives and its dedication to revolutionizing medical logistics.

Solid Backing and Expansion Plans

With the support of notable investors like LetsVenture, Chiratae Ventures, and Agility Ventures, and having recently raised $1.7 million in a seed funding round in November 2022, Skye Air is on a fast track to expansion. The startup, which currently operates a fleet of 35 drones, plans to increase this number to 100 within the next six months, reflecting its ambition to scale up operations and enhance its service offerings.
