Naveen Mallesh’s Pioneering Journey
Naveen Mallesh, the founder at TrekNomads was born and bought up in Bangalore. Being an Inquisitive person, Naveen had a great interest in Studies. Naveen completed his schooling from Bangalore High school, further to pursue his bachelor’s degree Naveen went to Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology and then went to IIM Lucknow to complete his Executive Program in Business Management.
Soon after completing his studies, Naveen stepped un in the corporate world and started working with some of the big corporates like HCL and Siemens.

Naveen Mallesh is a seasoned marathoner and has completed over 10 full marathons, more than 50 half marathons, and a little over two hundred 10K runs in the past 8 years.
Being a fitness enthusiast, Naveen has been coaching people on various aspects of fitness and nutrition, recently Naveen completed his Diploma in Fitness (Internationally Accredited CPD Activity.)
What is TrekNomads all about?
TrekNomads is a community that curates Trek, Travel & Adventure experiences, believing that trekking could fit in various ways in a person’s life. The company’s core focus lies in introducing people to nature through comfortable experiences.
The company specializes in designing premium, all-inclusive luxury treks that are meant for anyone and everyone who wishes to explore nature.
The company has organized over 200 treks and have introduced over 2,300 Nomads to the mountains. As a community, the company’s core lies in three things – helping people explore nature, helping the local communities sustain through treks, travels, and adventures and promoting the concept of responsible & plastic-free trekking.

Idea and Inspiration behind TrekNomads
During his corporate journey, Naveen met Mahendra Rathod, who turned out to be his business partner. The duo went on a Trek where they realized the simplicity that mountain life has.
The duo realized that there are a lot of people who are interested in exploring nature but could not do it, saying that trekking is for people who are fit and who would take the headache to coordinate and book all trek, travel, and adventure-related offerings.
The duo simplified the problem and came up with TrekNomads to help all people get introduced to the mountains, while the company taking care of everything right from logistics to permits, rules, regulations, building relationships on the ground with the local communities.

Challenges faced in the Outset
Naveen believes-
” We don’t grow when things are easy, we grow when we face challenges.”
The company’s biggest obstacle is that of the risk that work involves. With every trek, the lives of the nomads and guides are at risk.
After pondering on how to overcome this challenge, the duo came up with the concept of insurance for all treks, covering complimentary insurance for all Nomads as well as for the staff.
Recent collaborations and Hitting the first Milestone
The company has directly partnered with local communities to ensure a smooth flow on groundwork.
The company has been achieving plenty of milestones, recently the TrekNomada was recognized by Startup India and Startup Karnataka and has been incubated by esteemed organizations such as Mobile10X and IAMAI.
Current Growth and Vision of TrekNomads
The company has flourished well in no time and is growing steadily at 200% Y-o-Y growth. The company plans to help and take 5000 Nomads in the next three years.
