Apple announced the launch of its new hardware products at Cupertino, California. It’s ‘by innovation only’ iPhone 11 and Apple Watch Series 5 event was held at the Steve Jobs Theater. The launch included new iPhone announcements, details of future services, and much more. In India, the sales for iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max will begin from 27th September

iPhone 11 Pro

Apple unveiled its most awaited products- the 5.8 inches iPhone 11 Pro and the 6.5 inches iPhone 11 Pro Max, the successors of iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. With improved OLED displays, these high-end models come in four colors- Midnight Green, Space Gray, Silver, and Gold- with a matte finish on the case. Each Pro model features a triple-lens system for even better camera quality. Other new features included are low-light Night Mode and the power to take slow-motion selfie videos with the front camera. With improved battery life, Pro is available at $1,000 & Pro Max is available at $1,100. In India, however, both will be available at Rs 99,900 and Rs 1,09,900 for their base variant respectively.

iPhone 11

Apple also announced the launch of its slightly budget-friendly 6.1 inches iPhone 11 for $699. Its base variant will be available for Rs 64,900 in India. The iPhone XR’s successor is available for six color options- Purple, White, Green, Yellow, Black, and Red. It comes packed with a Retina display, dual-lens camera set up and has the same internal camera features as its other high-end models.

Trade-in program: Exchange Old with New

Apple announced its trade-in program, which allows customers to swap their newly outdated phones for a discount on the new iPhone 11 models. There can be hefty discounts available at the exchange like bringing in an iPhone XS Max could strike down a few hundred dollars off the latest iPhone 11 Pro Max. Apple Watch Series 5

Apple introduced its newest iteration of the Apple watch by pitching it up with a simple debate: If you don’t have one, you could die. The statement in itself is a very big promise from Apple. As an explanation, Apple says that the watch has improved health-monitoring functions and the ability to access international emergency calling without a phone on hand. In addition to a new compass function, the wearable will have a low -energy display that would dim instead of turning off when you drop your arm. The Apple Watch Studio would allow the customers to pick their own preferred case and band combination to create a look that is uniquely their own.

7th-gen iPads

The new iPad, 7th gen model, was launched at $329 (Rs 29.900 in India). The latest addition to iPads comes with a 10.2-inch display while retaining the old design with a home button. The model comes with full compatibility with the full-sized Smart Keyboard as well as the first-generation Apple Pencil. It also has a 100% recycled aluminum body and comes with a free year’s subscription to Apple TV+.

Apple TV+ & Apple Arcade

The company announced its plan to join the streaming service market on 1st November. Available for $5 per month, the customers will be able to watch multiple Apple-exclusive shows. The subscription to the Arcade services will give its customers access to exclusive games, available across mobile, desktop, and TV platforms. The strategy with Apple looks to be using affordable prices and a bizarre new version of Frogger to lock the customers to its ecosystem. It’s still a mystery if it will be able to extract customers from its competitors.
