The Union Government has declared Chandigarh as a Coronavirus Hotspot according to a recent tweet by UT Adviser Manoj Parida. The union territory is now a part of the 170 hotspots declared.

His tweet read-“Union Government has declared Chandigarh as a HOTSPOT district, as per laid down criteria of Health Ministry. ”

Such a declaration means that now, it is contained area, and there will be meticulous testing and isolation in the region. As of now, 21 confirmed positive cases are registered in Chandigarh with no casualties.

The number of hotspots in the country is increasing day by day. The government intends to sanitize nearly all the places where cases were found. Even Dharavi, in Mumbai, the most substantial sum in Asia, is being disinfected after a few cases were reported from the region.

The government is doing every possible thing to curb down the damage due to COVID-19. Let’s hope for the best.
