The number of Coronavirus cases has crossed 4000 in India, and the death toll has crossed 100 as the country is still in a state of lockdown.

The number of cases has currently jumped to 4067 in India as the virus is spreading faster than ever. Approximately 700 cases reported in just 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The death toll has crossed 100, as about 20 deaths reported in a single day. The good news is that 291 people have recovered from this deadly disease and are doing better now. The worst affected states are Maharashtra, where the number of COVID-19 cases is standing at 690, followed by Tamil Nadu, which currently has 571 cases, and Delhi, where 503 cases have been recorded.

The number of Coronavirus cases shot up as our country witnessed an immense surge of the cases in one week. This was mainly because of the large gathering, which was held by Tablighi Jamaat in the country capital, Delhi. According to a report, the Health Ministry stated that the rate of doubling of the number of cases is now 4.1 days, but, if the Tablighi event hadn’t taken place, it would be 7.3 days. The state government is still tracing the devotees who were present during the event, and a few of them have been located and quarantined.

Globally, this pandemic has affected approximately 181 countries, and the total number of cases observed goes up to 1.3 million while the death toll has reached 70000.

Prediction of the future effects and number of cases

India alone has witnessed 4000+ cases, and the rate of spreading has doubled in one week. The number of cases has jumped up to 40 percent in the last week.

Over the past week, the trajectory curve of the cases of COVID-19 has steepened horribly. Even though the curve is much flatter than that of the US, it is still steeper than that of Singapore, South Korea, and Japan. These countries have taken significant and drastic steps to prevent the further spreading of COVID-19, and this has proved to be successful and very effective. According to the Indian Government, the trajectory curve in India is expected to steepen further as they are expecting approximately another ten thousand cases in the next six days
