Indian women’s cricket team qualifies to the finals of the ICC T20 World cup after the semi-final match against England was washed out in Sydney.

Indian women cricket team has advanced to the final of the t20 world cup because of their higher standing at the end of the group stages. India topped the group A after winning all their 4 matches while England finished at number 2.

Indian Women’s cricket team will face the defending champions Australia in the final match on March 18, 2020, in Melbourne. The Indian team’s record in the group stage helped them reach finals. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur said that it was unfortunate to get a game due to the weather. She added that in the future, it would be nice to have a reserve day. Haramanpreet Kaur is confident about the final of ICC t20 world cup 2020 and is hoping to bring the trophy home.

England had bad luck today as they got eliminated from the world cup’s semi-final without playing a single ball. Heather Knight, the captain of England, said that it was frustrating to end the world cup this way, but not much you can do about this.

In the second semi-final of the day, Australian women’s team defeated South Africa by five runs in the rain-hit match. Australia played first and scored 134 for five in 20 overs, and South Africa was given a target of 98 runs in 13 overs because of the rain. Australia will face India in the finals of the ICC t20 world cup on March 8 in the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The International Cricket Council faced harsh criticism from cricket fans for not having a reserve day for semi-finals. Former England captain Michael Vaughan tweeted, “No reserve days for World Cup semi Finals … What a shambles … !!”
