PakkaProfile Secures Seed Funds From Java Capital


PakkaProfile (1), game-based gig recruitment, workforce assessment startup, and recently raised seed to fundraise. Java Capital led the latest funding round and participation from LetsVenture and COO of Notion, Akshay Kothari.

Nagmanjunath Shivkumar and Savio Sebastian launched the Bengaluru-based startup in May 2019. PakkaProfile is an on-demand platform for blue and grey collared jobs and workforce.

Previously, the startup had secured pre-seed funding round from Entrepreneur first. The platform aims to reimage gig workforce assessments via psychometric games, facial and speech recognition technologies, and deep learning. Consequently, companies can make impartial decisions and select the right workforce.

The CEO of PakkaProfile, Nagmanjunath, stated that hiring blue and grey colored workforce has always been a black box while commenting on the latest development. Employers are looking for longer retention, higher productivity, and better customer services from their employees.

On the other hand, gig workers look for flexible hours and try to maximize their earning in a limited time while looking for opportunities near their homes. It means that there is an opportunity to bridge the gap. PakkaProfile is offering an on-demand platform for gig jobs over the traditional job sites, stated Manjunath.

Further, he stated that vernacular games are an effective method to create a profile by measuring the workforce’s language skill, cognitive and personality traits, and matching the right person for the job.

Partner of Java Capital, Bhargavi V, said that PakkaProfile has a unique approach of using games and breaking several obstacles of language and education levels to determine and match the gig workforce to find the right job. She added that the platform also builds a skill profile for individual candidates that opens numerous opportunities for them in the future.

PakkaProfile also offers employers flexibility by giving them options to choose either the evaluation plus matching plus hiring platforms or only evaluation plus matching solutions. It helps them work with giants like Ola and Swiggy at a very early stage, added Bhargavi.
