Using Shaala Darpan, the parents can view updates on their child’s progress. Parents can even view records of attendance, assignments, and all the achievements of their child. The services have been launched effectively by the ministry of Education.
The E-Governance platform aims to improve the quality of learning, using Darpan Shaala, the efficiency of school administration, Governance of the school, and efficient service delivery to key stakeholders, namely students, parents, teachers, community, and school.
With Digital India campaign launched by Government of India to ensure that government facilities are available to the citizens electronically, The Shaala Darpan Login application informs parents about their child’s current activities and development at school and at the same time provides a real-time digital view of the school to the school administration, bringing both the students and teachers together on one platform, and provides user-friendly resources and tools.
Some of the features of Shaala Darpan are Midday meal information, installation information, joining and discharge of jobs, matching of posts, photo of personnel, updation of student exam results, on the same server.
The first phase of “Shaala Darpan Project” to cover all 1099 Kendriya Vidalya is presently under implementation Through the NICSI (Department of National Informatics Centre Services Inc.)
Present Status Of Shaala Darpan
- KVS is working with NIC cloud team for Application Migration On the NIC cloud
- In the Delhi region, a total of 1,11,891 users are there, with 98,756 records being Entered and verified.
- SMS Gateway Registration Relay and form completed.
Implementation by Union territories and States
The funds required for Shaala Darpan are met out by the budget of KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan), and no specific budget amount for this purpose.
The program concept circulation made to all the states for their consideration and further introduction of the same is in the state Government.
