Vahdam Teas raises funds worth Rs 75 crore led by consumer fund Sixth Sense Ventures

Global tea brand Vahdam Teas has raised Rs 75 crore in its Series C financing round led by Sixth Sense Ventures with participation from a bunch of reputed family offices and HNIs including Mankind Group Family office, Zomato Co-founder Pankaj Chaddah, Infosys Founder Kris Gopalkrishnan, SAR Group Family office, Urmin Group Family office, among others. The total funding raised by the firm stands over Rs 110 crore presently.

The Delhi & New York-based company plans to use the funds for expanding its presence in Europe, the US, and launch new products and enter new markets like South Asia, UAE, and India. Founded in 2015 by Bala Sarda, the firm plans to open up its new office in the UK early next year and will further invest in a state-of-art packaging facility to expand manufacturing and cater to the demand for the coming 3-5 years.

OneOneDay raises $1.3 million funding in pre-Series A round led by Chinese investors

Adtech startup OneOneDay has raised $1.3 million as a part of its pre-Series A round led by Chinese investors. The Hong Kong-based startup recently launched its app Oodies in India. The firm plans to utilize the funds towards climbing up its sales operations and also to support the ongoing enhancement of the program. By 2020, the startup expects a 10 million strong user base on its app.

Oodies app allows its users to earn cash rewards and donate ad revenue to a social impact cause of their own choice by watching ads explicitly curated for them. However, for the advertisers, Oodies provides an effective anti-ad waste solution by meeting up with the target audience with precision. The firm, by far, has raised $2.3 million and is currently valued at $12.8 million.
