Zain Imam
Zain Imam is a television actor who primarily works for prominent Indian soap operas. He was also one of the contestants of the popular reality show ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi’ season 9. He is popularly known for portraying characters such as Neil Khanna in Naamkarann and Yuvraj Luthra in Tashan-E-Ishq.
Zain Imam Schooling and Early Life
Zain completed his schooling from Delhi Public School in Greater Noida. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications from the Guru Gobind Indraprastha University. He has also got rewarded with the Masters of Business Administration degree from Amity International Business Model.
Zain Imam Professional Life:
Zain, during the initial days of his life, worked as a relationship officer at American Express Bank. He later quit his banking job to try out his luck in the entertainment industry. He first started his career as a model and worked for many renowned agencies like the Aldo Group and many more. He also starred in many eminent commercials before venturing into the acting field.
His first stint on acting started from the popular MTV show ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan,’ where he portrayed the role of Abhimanyu Thakkar. He garnered a lot of fame after portraying this role. He became a heartthrob among the girls. His immense popularity among the youth awarded his a Star Plus contract soon after.
His fame and popularity rose to a new high when he was selected to play as the male lead of the famous Star Plus show ‘Naamkarann’. He portrayed the role of IPS Officer Neil Khanna in the show, which garnered him massive praise, and the critics lauded his style of acting style.
But the role which acted as the perfect breakthrough in the career of Zain Imam is his portrayal of the Yuvraj Luthra in the popular Zee TV show Tashan-E-Ishq. A noteworthy feature about his portrayal in this soap opera was that this role was negative. Many doubted Zain’s potentiality to enact a negative character as he was still new to the field.

But Zain amazed everyone with his performance and left everyone stunned through vivacious mannerisms. Soon after, his stint in Tashan-E-Ishq Zain started to attract numerous offers, and many of the popular shows in which he acted were Yeh Vaada Raha, Naamkarann, Laal Ishq, Ishqbaaz.
He was also a participant on the popular reality show ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi’ season 9. Zain Imam displayed all his athletic skills and amazed everyone in the show with his speed and strength. Though he had the initial fear of insects and clingy beings, which almost make their way throughout the show, he later admitted that by the time he left the show, he was entirely out of the fear for insects.
Though his stint in the show was very brief and lasted only for a short period, he played quite well and got considered as one of the toughest contestants.
Zain Imam Awards and Accolades:
For his portrayal of the negative character in the show, Tashan-E-Ishq Zain got awarded with the Best Actor in a Negative Role at the Zee Gold Awards. Apart from this, Zain also got listed in Eastern Eye’s list of Sexiest Asian Men in 2018. He ranked 26th on this list. He has also recorded the 2nd place in the Top 20 Desirable Men on India in the same year.

Zain Imam and Aditi Rathore were the lead couples of the hit show ‘Naamkarann.’ Her onscreen chemistry was so cute that people thought that Aditi Rathore and Zain Imam are in a relationship. Some media tabloids even started calling Aditi Rathore as the Zain Imam’s girlfriend. But both the actors have denied being in a relationship and have addressed each other as best friends.
