About Vizag
Visakhapatnam is a city located in Andhra Pradesh; it is the second-largest city and the financial capital of the state. It is a port city and has the state headquarters of the coast guards. The place has a population of 20 lakhs and is the 14th largest city in the country. The historical evidence proves that the city was founded in the 11th or 12th century. The city houses the oldest shipyard in the country. It is also the only natural harbor on India’s East coast. It ranks fifth in the list of busiest ports. William King George discovered them in 1807 during the Geological Survey of India. The caves are 1400 m above the sea level and are a hub for adventurous people. If you love trekking, you can trek in the caves. A Shivling is situated inside the cave. The enigmatic ancient vibe of the place will leave you mesmerized.
2. Yarada Beach
As we all know by now, Vizag is a coastal city, which means its a paradise for beach lovers. Yarada beach is a beautiful beach in Vizag. The sunsets and sunrises from the beach are a striking visual. Indira Gandhi Zoological Park is a zoo surrounded by hills and Bay of Bengal. The place is a habitat of several endangered species. It is created on a land of 625 acres and was built in 1977.
6. Katiki Falls
Katiki Waterfalls is located near the famous Borra caves. Gosthani river provides water for this waterfall, which is 50 ft above the plain. The waterfall is surrounded by green hills from all sides and is a delightful sight for nature lovers.
