According to the Ministry of Health, India’s Coronavirus count has passed 28,000 and is still on the rise. Even though strict lockdown conditions imposed, the virus could not be stopped entirely.
There are 21,132 active cases currently and a death toll of 886. According to the minister of Health, 6,631 patients have recovered from this deadly virus. This is a positive sign, as 22 percent of the patients have recovered totally.
Lav Agarwal, the joint secretary of the Ministry of Health, mentioned that around 361 patients cured in a single day. He also added that 16 districts, which earlier had cases haven’t reported new cases in the last 28 days.
According to an analysis, many people fear that the virus may be contagious even if the infected person cured. This is entirely false, and it is safe to interact with the cured patient.
The health ministry also pressed on the point that no community, religion, or area should be blamed for the spread of COVID-19. Another essential aspect to note is that Healthcare workers and sanitation workers should not face any difficulties.
The Indian Council of Medical Research issued an advisory to the state governments about the Rapid Antibody Blood Tests. The announcement stated that the diagnostic kits of the companies Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech and Zhuhai Livzon should not be utilized as these companies are not trustworthy. The respective kits should be returned to the manufacturers immediately.
According to the latest report from the health ministry, Maharashtra is still the worst-hit state with a total of 8,068 cases. This is followed by Gujarat, with around 3,301 cases and Delhi at 2,918 cases.
The situation in Andhra Pradesh is also worsening as the total number of cases crossed the 1,000-mark.
However, fortunately, there are no recent cases in Tripura, Goa, and Arunachal Pradesh.
