CreatorOS: With low-cost Android smartphones and the world’s most affordable data has embarked millions of social media influencers in India to recently get the following of millions of users. These influencers or creators share their vlogs and thoughts daily. Some of them are also engaged with big brands to sell their products to massive audiences. Several businesses, including Flipkart, work with these influencers.
However, the creators face several problems because of India’s ban on Tiktok in late June. Notably, the Chinese short-video app was reaching over 20 million users in the sub-continent. They are too dependent on limited platforms and follow an unorganized work structure. CreatorOS (1) aims to help these creators to have more control of their work with the platform, and several high-profile entrepreneurs have agreed.
Madhavan Malolan announced the CreatorOS platform on Friday that enables influencers to build, manage, and grow their businesses. He added that nearly a thousand creators, including several short-film makers, consultants, and teachers, have already joined the portal.
CreatorOS Aiming to Turn Social Media Influencers, Entrepreneurs
Madhavan is the co-founder of the startup, formerly known as Socionity, in January 2020. Before the startup, he has worked with several firms, including Microsoft. The team believes that these creators have the potential to become entrepreneurs in the upcoming years. Hence, we offer them tools, connections, and infrastructure that would help them run their e-businesses.
The CreatorOS is an app-builder, allowing creators to build their app, push, and sell their content in it. Moreover, the platform will also enable them to develop their communities. In other words, it reduces the creators’ efforts to build an app to simple drag and drop.
Earlier, it secured 50,000 USD backing from high-profile entrepreneurs. It includes Phanindra Sama, founder, and ex-CEO of Redbus.in. Gaurav Munjal, co-founder, and CEO of Unacademy, Kalyan Krishnamurthy, CEO of Flipkart, Sujeet Kumar, Co-founder of Udaan, Vidit Aatrey, Co-fonder, and CEO of Meesho, Vivekananda Hallekere, co-founder of Bounces, and Alvin Tse, Xiaomi Indonesia GM.
