HUL Ice cream pushcarts soon on swiggy!
Hindustan Unilever has decided to list popular ice cream pushcarts on leading food delivery platform Swiggy. The company’s brands, such as Magnum, Cornetto, and Kwality walls, would be listed on Swiggy in 20 cities. The move is the company’s maiden attempt on capitalizing on India’s fast-emerging online food ordering ecosystem, which has altered the way Indians eat.
Hindustan Unilever conducted a pilot last year to test several fulfillment models. Now HUL has decided over 300 locations across the top 20 cities for the operation.

Swiggy recently announced its new Brandworks model to list exclusive brands and restaurant partners to launch exclusive delivery only food brands on the mobile platform.
Himanshu Kanwar, general manager at HUL, added that
“As soon as we picked up the change in the consumer habits with the fast-emergence of food delivery apps, we devised a plan to deliver the products at their desired time and place.”
HUL will be working on setting up necessary IT infrastructure, which will prompt the vendors to fulfill the order placed, the company will also provide cold gel packaging to vendors to prevent the ice cream from melting.
What is Swiggy Brandworks?
Swiggy Brandworks is the company’s asset-light and low investment model for the restaurants that have the capability to cook additional meals. The company claims that its restaurant base has grown 4x times and has over 160k restaurant partners on board and plans to add over 10k new restaurants every month.
The company currently operates in 520 cities and has over 250k delivery partners on board.
