What is Neurobion Forte?

Everyone wonders about the kind of supplements they need depending on what they lack. But, what about supplements containing multiple ingredients, like Neurobion Forte. This supplement has a range of essential ingredients.

Specifically, Neurobion Forte is a vitamin product containing a mixture of all the essential B vitamins. Neurobion Forte is available as an oral tablet in some countries, while as an injection in others. Now, let’s decipher the ingredients.

What’s in Neurobion Forte?

Neurobion Forte contains a mixture of six essential B vitamins:

  • Vitamin B1- thiamine
  • Vitamin B2 – Riboflavin
  • Vitamin B3 – Nicotinamide
  • Vitamin B5 – Calcium Pantothenate
  • Vitamin B6 – Pyridoxine
  • Vitamin B12 – Cobalamin

B vitamins are a cluster of water-soluble vitamins present in different foods. Supplements containing these B vitamins are often called B-complex vitamins(1). These vitamins are available across many manufacturers and brands.

As discussed above, Neurobion Forte used for preventing or treating Vitamin-B deficiencies. Besides this, Neurobion may also be used for many other reasons:

  • Improving nervous system health
  • To improve the immune system functioning
  • Enhance or boost the metabolism
  • Maintaining healthy skin and hair
  • Promoting liver health

However, just like any other vitamins, B Vitamin plays a vital role in the proper functioning of your body. These B vitamins help improve metabolism, nervous system functions, red blood cell production, and even skin function.

Not getting the required amount of Vitamin B may lead to a series of health problems, including:

  • Anemia
  • Unintended weight loss
  • Confusion
  • Depression
  • Headache
  • Heart failure
  • Kidney problems
  • Hair loss
  • Liver problems
  • Dementia or memory problems
  • Weak immune system

When to take Neurobion Forte?

Neurobion Forte mainly treated for Vitamin B deficiency. Even though most people receive sufficient Vitamin B through the foods they eat, some of us suffer from Vitamin B deficiency. This includes those who:

  • Are over the age of 50
  • Are pregnant
  • Eat a restricted diet, ex: Vegan or vegetarian
  • Suffer from a chronic health condition
  • Take specific medication, such as acid reducers

If you already receive sufficient amounts of Vitamin B, then taking Neurobion or similar supplements won’t provide any benefits, such as energy, improved memory, better immune function, or a better metabolism.

It is important to remember that B Vitamins are water-soluble. This means that if these vitamins are received in an excess amount, it is just excreted through your urine.

However, taking this supplement may be a benefit even if you have a slight deficiency. But, a severe deficiency should be countered with a high dosage of Neurobion Forte. People are suffering from Vitamin B-12 deficiency usually treated with a 500 mcg or more Vitamin B-12.

If you think you lack vitamin B-12, it is essential to get it evaluated by your doctor. They can run a simple blood test to see which vitamin B you are lacking.

Is Neurobion safe?

The B vitamins contained in Neurobion Forte are usually safe and do not cause any noticeable side effects when taken according to the doctor’s instructions.

If you take a higher dose of Neurobion Forte when not required, you may experience some side effects:

  • Diarrhea
  • Excessive urination
  • Nerve damage
