SenseHawk Raised Massive Funding to Expand its Cloud-Based Application

SenseHawk

SenseHawk, a Software as a Service(SaaS) startup (1), announced that it raised USD 5.1 Million in Series A1 funding. This funding will come in use to expand SenseHawk’s cloud-based platform and application modules. It solves several challenges in the development, construction, and operation of solar sites. The application modules enable solar companies to reduce costs, enhance workforce productivity, and improve solar site performance.

The investment round led by Alpha Wave Incubation (AWI) is a USD 300 million venture fund. It is backed by ADQ, one of the largest regional holding companies based in Abu Dhabi. Also, an existing investment SAIF Partners participated with a follow-on investment.

SenseHawk will expand its presence to Abu Dhabi and use the Emirate as a global base for international expansion. The firm is likely to target the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Middle-East and North Africa (MENA), and other global markets. It is also about building a team of data scientists, product managers, and engineers located in Abu Dhabi.

SenseHawk Expansion in Market and Platform Credibility

Sensehawk is already growing its market by serving consumers in road infrastructure, construction industries, and power transmission. It is also deepening its suite of offerings beyond solar and customer base.

The application modules of the SenseHawk platform support the site and terrain management, construction monitoring, operations, work management, file organization, and thermography. Its mobile application elongates the power of the forum and brings the data to field techs. Consequently, the team has all the information they need right at their fingertips. The mobile app also supports onsite navigation so the user can easily navigate to allocated tasks on sites.

Swarup Mavanoor, CEO and co-founder of SenseHawk, said the investment through AWI provides strategic access to the MENA market. It is indeed powering the ongoing development of their software platform. He added the follow-on investment by SAIF Partners is a validation of the direction and reaffirms their commitment to a long-term partnership.

Anirudh Singh, managing director at AWI, said they are excited to back an industry-leading AI-first SaaS company. Further, he added that SenseHawk brings step-function increases in performance, productivity, and cost efficiencies for its customers.
