Updates on Coronavirus Directly from Health Ministry of India

Today, the Health Ministry of India (1) held a press conference regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. There is a total of 18,658 confirmed cases of coronavirus in India as of today. The total number of demises due to the coronavirus has now climbed to 592. If we talk about the last 24 hours, a total of 1,331 new cases came into reports. 

The worst-hit state of India remains to be Maharastra amidst 472 new cases and 09 further deaths. 

A total of 3,251 patients has cured and discharged from the hospital so far, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

If we talk about the effect of coronavirus globally, the total cases have now arisen to 2,490.516 cases. The total number of demises due to the coronavirus has now climbed to 170,590. 

 

Statement of Joint Secretary of Ministry of Family and Health Affairs

Lav Agrawal, an official from the health ministry said that according to the availability of data till 19th April 2020, we have seen improvement in several states based on the curve flattening. Further, he also said that we see a development in 18 states and union territories.
