UTR number means (Unique Taxpayer Reference Number), UTR number is a ten-digit code that is issued by HMRC (HM Revenue and Customs). UTR number is used to identify individual Taxpayers Within the system. UTR number is issued to individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts, and organizations.

What are NEFT and RTGS?

RTGS stands for Real-Time Gross Settlement, and under RTGS, the fund transfers are immediately processed. The funds transferred using RTGS are deposited within two hours in the beneficiary account. RTGS is the fastest way of inter-bank fund transfer.

If you are the proprietor of a limited company, you can apply to receive the company’s UTR number online, where you’ll need the company registration number and registered company name to complete the form, once done with the regulatory, HMRC will post the retrieved number to the registered company address.
