Fans of YouTube sensation CarryMinati was disappointed when his viral video YouTube vs. TikTok – The End was removed by the platform. They stated that the reason behind the removal is that the popular roasting video was violating their terms and conditions.

The conflict seems to have begun after the TikTok user Amir Siddiqui posted a video on his channel in which he was calling out famous YouTube stars while tagging them on his video. In the video, the TikTok user compared both platforms while highlighting the unity among the TikTok community. He further accused fan-favorite YouTube stars that they are copying content from TikTok. Later, he encouraged the YouTube community, who is known for roasting videos, to respond to him. This led to the creation of CarryMinati’s trending video, “YouTube vs. TikTok – The End.”

He targeted such YouTubers specifically by saying that they are not doing anything creative. The self-proclaimed TikTok influencer tells viewers that they are getting likes and views by focusing on famous social media influencers like himself. 

It is said that he uploaded such video in response to various social media sites, including YouTube, are trolling TikTok users of the country. Many users were roasting them for their cringy content, which provoked the TikTok users. 

Notably, Amir Siddiqui deleted his controversial and provoking video claiming that it is spreading ‘unintentional’ negativity.

Those who don’t know about TikTok, it is a popular Chinese application for smartphones. On this platform, users could upload various videos of a maximum of 60 seconds long. According to the YouTube Community, TikTok users are those people who don’t have anything else to do and creates content on the platform for “Time-Pass.” Some of the YouTube stars even assert that TikTokers are making huge cash-flow without any real or positive impact on society.

Recently, the TikTok app’s rating on Google Play decrease to 1.2 stars from 4.5 after Netizens demanded a ban on the app post backlash in India. #BanTikTok soon became trending again on Twitter after some TikTokers like Amir Siddiqui’s brother Faizal Siddiqui appeared to promote social evils like acid attacks and rape. These videos were later deleted by the TikTok after Rekha Sharma, National Commission for Women, flagged such contents on TikTok.

Amir Siddiqui is a popular TikTokers and has over 3 million followers on the platform. He is based in Mumbai, and his videos on TikTok gain millions of views.

Ajey Nagar, or famous for his YouTube channel name CarryMinati is a resident of Faridabad. He is renowned for his energetic and distinguishing commentary in the Hindi language on YouTube and other social media sites. Apart from his roasting videos, CarryMinati is also well-known for his comedy sketches, live gaming, and sarcastic mockeries. He is the proud owner of the YouTube diamond play button, with now over 19 million subscribers.

After the Amir Siddiqui’s video, CarryMinati took it personally since he is famous for roasting various TV shows and celebrities. He responded by uploading the trending “YouTube vs. TikTok – The End,” in which he analyzed Amir Siddiqui’s video and broke down each sentence. He talks about the TikToker’s grammar slip-ups, using irrelevant hashtags to gain more attention and trying to gain Millenials’ sympathy through his videos. So, CarryMinati was pointing out Amir’s lapses in his usual but unprecedented way.

After the video went viral, #carryminati roast became trending on Twitter, including several other social media sites. It was later followed by content creators from YouTube and TikTok attacking one another, leading to the YouTube vs. TikTok battle on the internet.

Amir Siddiqui responded to CarryMinati’s YouTube vs. TikTok – The End by posting another video, where he seemed to give his side of the story. He went on about how he is ‘not against’ entire YouTube community but only a few content creators of the platform. Amir claimed that he is only against cyberbullying and people who are roasting his fellow TikTokers, which is leading to harassment. Further, Amir hopes that CarryMinati would take a stand fronting such cyberbullying and would influence people against it. Siddiqui also claims that he is not considering any roasting and is taking the viral video criticizing him sportingly. 

 

Why YouTube Removed Carry Minati’s Video?

CarryMinati’s video titled YouTube vs. TikTok – The End was on the verge of being one of the most viewed and liked non-musical content on YouTube. The video apparently received harassment and cyberbullying reports from haters. These reports led to YouTube removing the video from its platform for violating its online policies for harassments.

After the Google-owned platform pulled down the CarryMinati’s YouTube vs. TikTok – The End, fans started venting out their anger on various social media platforms, especially on Twitter. Some of the fans even started giving a 1-star rating to the TikTok app. It led to a decrease in the overall rating of the app, as mentioned earlier in the article. However, the app ratings soon increased to 1.6 from 1.2 after Google removed millions of recent reviews. 

Fans are insisting on people all over from India to report and uninstall the TikTok app from their phones. Amid the tension, CarryMinati alleged that he received threats by Faisal Khan, a famous star on TikTok. With nationwide lockdown, millions of Indians are locked inside their houses. It is most likely that the situation is expected to heat up further, leading to more drama.
