IT Ministry to ensure smooth Work functioning from home

Amidst this lockdown situation, the Work from Home is gaining popularity.The IT Ministry is ensuring smooth work functioning from home.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis all across the globe, nearly half of the world is quarantined at the moment. People are locked up inside their homes, waiting eagerly to resume their healthy lives. 

However, due to the lockdown, most of the processes and practices have switched online. Recently, DU also launched its online website for filling examination forms. 

Aspects of Work from Home as per Government!

According to a report, the government believes that there are two aspects of work from Home. 

  1. The need for software and the hardware that allows smooth working
  2. Basic Parameters for work from Home. 

The IT Ministry is looking into the first point ad the department of personnel and training in managing the second part. 

The IT Ministry conducted an online meeting with both hardware and software companies on 20 April regarding the same.

Ajay Sawhney, IT Secretary, and Telecom Secretary Anshu Prakash supervised the session.

The IT Minister, Ravi Shankar, has asked the Telecom ministry to approach the leaders of the industry and clear out the roadblocks. He also asked the professionals to look for all the possible solutions.

Consequently, the authorities are asking the startup companies to develop suitable products. A monetary fund of Rs 5L is issued to shortlisted startups for the same. If these startups are approved, they will be given a package of Rs 20 L to develop the final products. 


PM Modi supports work from Home!

Keeping up with the latest trends, PM Modi was seen encouraging people in a linkedin post to work from Home.  He appreciated and listed out the business that has opted to go online in this lockdown. He also elaborated on the various possible results of this new trend. 

He further added-

“India, a youthful nation known for its innovative zeal, can take the lead in providing a new work culture.”

He even proposed a five vowel key for surviving this pandemic- Adaptability, Efficiency, Inclusivity, Opportunity, and Universalism.
