Pepper Content Receives 4.2M USD in Series A Fundraise

Pepper Content (1), a Mumbai-based content marketplace, has secured 4.2 million USD in its Series A funding round. Lightspeed India led the latest fundraise. Notably, the startup aims to enhance its presence in Southeast Asia while also adding new content categories such as audio and video.

Many prominent angel investors across India and Silicon Valley participated in the latest funding round. It includes Beerud Seth, founder of Upwork, Balaji Srinivasan, CTO of Coinbase, Gaurav Munjal, Unacademy, and Founder of Haptik, Aakrit Vaish. Moreover, CSO of Times Internet, Miten Sampat, Akhil Paul of Caparo Group, Utsav Somani of Angellist, and ex Indian MD of SAP Labs, Dilip Khandelwal.

Anirudh Singla and Rishabh Shekhar, graduates of BITS Pilani, founded Pepper Content in 2017. It is a content creation platform that connects talent creators to organizations looking for content. Moreover, it offers customized content solutions by mediating content from the talent creator pool via an AI-enabled portal. The company aims to help content creators partner with a business looking for content marketing requirements.

Pepper Content is Creating a Platform for Content Creators and Businesses

According to the claim of the company, it has about 30,000 creative professionals on its platform. It includes writers, graphic designers, editors, and language specialists who have become a Pepper Content part. However, the company only works with the top 10 percent of talent.

Notably, Pepper Content has helped creators make more than 100,000 content materials while earning 400,000 USD in creator fees. It has over 400 clients, including Amazon, Paytm, Swiggy, Edelweiss, Adobe, Apollo Hospitals, and more.

While commenting on the latest infusions, Singla stated that its mission is to disrupt the entire content creation industry at a scale. The team aims to create a more robust, high quality, and organized ecosystem for content creators.

He added that the company is looking to build virtual content teams for any organization worldwide by offering them a product that simplifies the content operations. It would also give the customers to strategize, create, distribute, and manage all they content projects in one place.
