A profitable partnership between startups amid Coronavirus Lockdown

Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has collaborated with the online food delivery platform Zomato, Shopkirana, and Zoomcar intending to enhance its logistic network. In addition to this, Flipkart has also worked Spencer’s Retail on April 9. this partnership was done so that Flipkart’s supply chain remains intact.

 

The Godrej Partnership

Godrej has assigned specific roles and duties to its allies.

  • Zomato us responsible for delivering the products straight to the customers.
  • ShopKirana is responsible for forming the link between individual retailers and Godrej Consumer Products.
  • Whereas, Zoomcar will ensure the time to time delivery of all the necessary items to the distributors.

All these three collaborations will strengthen the Consumer base of Godrej Company. 

 

The launch of “Zaroori” by Shopkirana

Recently, a new app was launched by Shopkirana named ‘Zaroori.’ The purpose of this app is to take online orders from retailers. Moreover, the government of Madhya Pradesh has permitted the company to take online orders and deliver essential items. As a result, people will be getting all the necessary things without stepping outside their homes.

 

The new addition to Zomato- ‘Zomato Market.’

Meanwhile, Zomato has also added a new feature in its service list, the Zomato MArket. It is an online grocery delivery service. Hence, it will go door to door to deliver the essential items for the citizens. 

 

Collaboration between Flipkart and Spencer

The nature of the partnership will be similar to that of the Godrej and its allies. Spencer will work as a seller for the Flipkart and expand its logistic boundaries. 

All these collaborations intend to ease the things for the citizens. People are isolated and locked inside their homes for 21 days to battle against the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic. It has made it difficult for people to manage their homes. They are running out of essential items for survival. To curb this problem, companies have come up with such initiatives, so that people do not run out of things. They will be provided with things at their doorsteps.
