Governments are trying hard to revive the ravaged economy. As a result, some relaxations are given after 20 April only to the needed ones.

Preparations to meet the massive demand

Companies are incredibly eager to boost their sales after 20 April as the demand for essential and non-essential items is insane these days.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in the nation has imposed lots of restrictions on the local people. The entire country is quarantined till 3 May 2020. Hence, people can hardly visit retail shops to buy items. As a result, there is an instant rise in E-commerce platforms.

Companies are gearing up for Big sales!

After the government allowed some activities to resume in some specific location, the companies have grabbed a chance to skyrocket their sales.

Snapdeal official commented that the company is preparing to meet the demands of both customers and retailers.

Amazon official said that the company is gearing up to meet the instant needs of the buyers.

E-commerce platforms are jointly operating with their partnered brands, manufacturers, sellers, local shops, and businesses to offer in-demand products to their clients.

Flipkart, a Walmart owned company, also said that they are collaborating with thousands of sellers and providers for the big sales.

These E-commerce platforms not only encourage social distancing, but they keep the smooth supply in the Indian market.

Lockdown 2.0

On 14 April, PM Narendra Modi extended the nationwide 21-day lockdown till 3 May.

The situation is pretty tensed in the country. With each passing day, an average of 1000 new cases is being reported. Hence, Lockdown 2.0 was a step to fight against COVID-19.

Also, PM mentioned that some meaningful economic activities and services would continue to resume after 20 April. These relaxations will be lifted if any increase in the coronavirus cases is witnessed in these areas.

Hence, nearly all the E-commerce activities are likely to resume from 20 April.
