Apple and Google collaborate for the contact trace technology.

Two of the world’s fortune companies, Apple and Google, have joined hands to battle against the fast transmission of COVID-19 virus. They are putting in efforts so that Bluetooth technology can help Governments and health ministries to reduce the spread of Coronavirus, keeping in mind user privacy.

As we all know, corona transmits through close contact. Hence, a contact tracing app will be fruitful to halt the transmission.

Therefore, Apple and Google will be launching a cumulative solution, including Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and operating system-level technology, to enable contact tracing.

IIT Kanpur startup to make low-cost Ventilators

Ansys, a world engineering simulation company, joined hands with an IIT-Kanpur startup to help in developing low-cost ventilators to fight against the COVID-19 outbreak in India. These ventilators will be called Nocca V110.

Invasive Ventilators are the most suitable ventilators for frontline doctors as they help patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). After the successful testing of the first batch, the company aims to produce 30,000 quantities by May 2020.

This initiative will immensely help the Health Department of India as there are rumors about the scarcity of ventilators in India.

ICICI Lombard, Go Digit and Flipkart join hands to offer health insurance for COVI-19 patients

Yesterday, three top fortune companies, ICICI Lombard, Go digit and Flipkart have come together and decided to provide health insurance for COVID-19. This health insurance will help people in fighting the Pandemic.

The health insurance provides various benefits like easy claim, hospitalization cover, ICU units, Ambulance assistance, and teleconsultancy. The price of health insurance is Rs.159/year.

The policy, COVID-19 Protection Cover by ICICI Lombard, will be offering an immediate help of Rs 25,000 to the person on the definite diagnosis of the disease.

The policy of Digit Illness Group Insurance provided by Go Digit allows the users to avail of a hospitalization cover, up to the sum of Rs 1 lakh with Rs 511 of the annual premium.

Mobile ATMs to be placed in Noida and other UP Districts by ICICI

ICICI Bank has announced to deploy two mobile ATM vans in Noida and other Uttar Pradesh districts from next week to make sure that people do not miss vital banking services during the nationwide coronavirus lockdown. People then will be able to access vital banking services from their homes.

In a statement by the bank, it was told that these vans would operate from 10 am to 7 pm at the quarantined areas by the authorities. They will work as regular ATMs, making it easier for people to make online transactions.

Milkbasket launch a helpline for Senior Citizens

Milkbasket, the online grocery delivery platform, has decided to operate a senior citizens hotline in Noida, Gurgaon, Bangalore Hyderabad, and many more districts. This helpline will allow people to place their orders on Watsap. In this way, they won’t have to step outside their homes.

As we all know that senior citizens are at high risk of getting infected; hence, this initiative will ensure their safety and comfort.

IIT to design a device to sanitize standard household items

IIT-Ropar has decided to create a tool for sanitization. It will be based on ultraviolet germicidal irradiation technology and will be used to disinfect household items like currency notes, vegetables, milk packets, wallets, and mobile phones.

It is supposed to take around 30 minutes to sanitize the items with a recommended 10-minute cooling-off time before taking out the things.
